Update 11-10-2007 (afternoon)

Folks, apologies for all this confusion.

1. There is a Department of Fish and Game training that MAY enable you to work on the current oil spill at 1:30 - 3:30 pm today, Saturday, at the Richmond Harbormaster's office. I apologize for not getting this out sooner, but hope that many saw it on the website, http://www.dfg.ca.gov/ospr/spill/incidents/cosco_busan/info_sessions_statement.pdf. This will be repeated at Marin Headlands at 5:30 pm; see the website.

2. There MAY be a need for SOME drivers and folks to walk around the Berkeley Marina, asking people to stay away from the shoreline and hurt birds. You can go to Shorebird Park, south side of University, and ask. Susan Schwartz
